Good size for my 3 year old who loves my guitar. Even tightening the screws on the tuning pegs the strings don't stay tuned, making this better for messing around than actual playing. My toddler doesn't care, but the ages it gives on the box are 6+ ages appropriate for beginning guitar, but this is by no means an actual beginning guitar. It's a toy guitar. Fun for a kid who likes to strum and sing.
